Busy Belnaps

the end is in sight

we've only got a little over 2 months to go (until Dr. Drew comes home). but i am losing steam. the weekends do me in. i tire of making meals and cleaning messes.

my parents came yesterday, and that was a welcomed break from the norm. we had a blast as always. the children love spending time with them. i do too. we went to lunch (i'm not brave enough to do it by myself with these three) and the kids did surprisingly well. as an added bonus, the tab was on dad! we went to our beach (Ponto) and the girls collected rocks and shells while bb enjoyed sucking in the wind! i remember e used to react to wind the same way. so cute!
then my parents left to head back up to newport and just like a vacuum, all the energy they brought with them was sucked away.

if i didn't have 1 o'clock church, i'd drive up there today just for the afternoon and evening. but we've already missed several weeks when i've done just that (except i skipped out on church). so i really think i need to tough it out and stay here for church (theirs is at 9 and there's no way i can get everyone ready, out the door, and up to newport by then).

the weeks go by super fast. for that i am so grateful.

better go iron our church clothes while bb sweetly slumbers.

*in hindsight, i bet i'm just still tired from k and bb being sick again. 1 month after they got over pneumonia and bronchitis, they both got sick again. but this weekend we're all healthy. so back to church we go, where i'm sure we'll pick up the newest/latest bug!
