E's 2nd-grade teach gave us parents a homework assignment at back-to-school night. We were instructed to fill one sheet of paper with the written word or a photo collage that would provide insight into our child. The papers would then be compiled into a class book, which would go to each child's home for viewing.
I typically don't elaborate on my husband or children here. This particular assignment was so fun though, and E loved reading it so much, that I thought it worthy of a post on our family blog.
Everyone who works with E, says, "She is a 'joy' to be a round." At 6:30 am her big, blue eyes pop open and she's instantly full of a day's worth of energy and excitement. Her happy-go-lucky attitude is inspiring. Secrets are not safe around E because she has the ears of a deer and the memory of an elephant! I am often amazed by E's vocal talent. Her pitch is spot on and she can already harmonize. She loves to dance and especially enjoys doing the Cha-Cha-Cha and Polka with her grandma. E is an avid reader and is quite inquisitive. She enjoys flipping through her father's medical textbooks. One day E hopes to be a veterinarian. Based on the character and personality traits she displays now, we think that goal is certainly reachable. E is our little Joybird.
